Mark is Director of Informatics and Digital strategy at the Department of Health, leading on the development of information policy and strategy in the health and care system, including sponsorship of the Health and Social Care Information Centre, the development of the legal framework to support better use of information and work to develop. He has held a number of roles in the Department of Health, including most recently leading children and families policy and work on health inequalities and social inclusion. Before that he worked on mental health and emergency care policy, amongst other roles.
